Bluebird Yoga House offers numerous wellness services including group yoga & meditation classes, private sessions, workshops, retreats, and retail products, all designed to support physical health, mental wellness, and personal growth.

Yoga is...

Yoga is an ancient life practice. Yoga is not only the practice of the physical poses on the mat; moreso, yoga give us the Eight Limbs, or areas of practice, as a framework for living a full, happy, and balanced life. The Eight Limbs of Yoga are: the Yamas (ethical restraints), the Niyamas (self-discipline and inner habits), Asanas (physical postures), Pranayama (breath control), Pratyahara (withdrawal of senses), Dharana (focus and concentration), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (union and liberation). 


Yoga is about finding a balance between challenge and ease, exploring that edge, and practicing to become a better version of yourself every day. Yoga is about community; people coming together to practice and hold space with and support one another in union for a common goal.

Meet Jess

Hello, yogis! Welcome to Bluebird Yoga Studio & Wellness Studio. Here, we keep it real. This is a no-judgement zone. We are all works in progress, so come as you are.


I have been practicing yoga & meditation since 2014 and teaching it since 2017. My certifications are E-RYT 200, RYT 500,  & YACEP through Yoga Alliance, & CMT (Certified Meditation Teacher) through The Mindfulness Center. Before my zen era, I was a high school English teacher for 20 years. I earned a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction in 2012.


My WHY?

 

I want to grow a community of yoga & meditation practitioners in the Dahlonega community to spread peace, compassion, self-acceptance, open-mindedness, open-heartedness, a love of nature, health, present-moment awareness, and wellness; I want to nourish people’s lives and invite more kindness into the world; I want to support those healing from past trauma, deepen the living experience, and manifest more happiness and hope through the practices of yoga & meditation.
